Perfect, fairly clean hotel with cosy rooms and amiable staff. Location right by decent restaurants and bars around, sophisticated places to eat and tenths of other medieval miracles of architecture.

the breakfast was fresh made with lukewarm coffee, and the food was good. we stayed in a guest room with central heating, an iron, and a work desk.

Good location, nice building, nice cool room. Overall a nice little place, which I will recommend if all you want is a place to sleep, but sadly let down by service.
Where to begin? The large towels (for shower) were very very hard and rough. Went to reception later in evening to ask for a replacement, without checking the girl said there were no more towels. Then near our room I noticed a half-open linen cupboard with large towels, so I took one. I asked that the lights on the spiral staircase be turned on - same girl said there used to lights be but not any more, and her advice was "please be very careful". I'd already thought of that. I used my mobile phone to find the steps. "continental" breakfast was pancake, coffee, juice, bread and a plate with ham, cheese, and two tiny bits of butter. Second day main dish was some cabbage/cauliflower square which nobody seemed to eat, very strange for breakfast. I had to ask twice for juice and then wait a while, share coffee with another couple, and when asked for extra butter as I knew it would not be enough, was told I already had butter. The next couple over then got a plate full of melon, which we didn't. No complaints about the food itself, but the menu and service was very hit and miss. Only eight guests were present at breakfast, but the (3) staff seemed to be struggling. We went to nearby cafe for more coffee and better food. Never did get any more butter. My suggestion to improve things for customers and staff would be a small buffet table, so the guests can help themselves faster and the staff don't get confused. I don't like complaining about small things, but there were so many at this hotel that it added up enough for me to mention it. My girlfriend and I joked it would be a nice place to buy and run, as we would just need to improve the little things to make it a winner. Thanks.

Breakfast was served without any input from the guest, except choice of tea or coffee.

What I like best in his hotel is that it was strong feeling leeving in my home: it's very domestic and cozy.
I think the stuff should be more attentive to the guests: meet them with the coffee for ex. in order to make 100% feeling of home hotel.

Everything was great, with a lovely location away from the old town. the staff were exceptionally nice, and we enjoyed an excellent bedroom. the breakfast was freshly prepared and included cheese and sausage, among other delights. the hotel is conveniently located next to the city center, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. the central district was definitely worth staying in.

The main strong reason to stay in this hotel is its staff. All of them could create the atmosphere of home. Very convenient place, one can get to the Old Town for 7 min. If we decide to go to Riga again, we will chose that hotel for sure.
The breakfast was all the time the same (1 egg, 2 slices of cheese, tomato, cucmber + tea/coffee with pancake). It seems to me that they didn't clean the floor in room in correct way (several times i found dust in different places).

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the convenient location in a quiet street near the center. the cheap and fast ride to/from the airport was a plus. the big room with spacious windows overlooking a quiet courtyard was perfect. the hospitable owner and attentive staff were very helpful. the superb breakfast, with veggie options available, made upon request was one of the best we've ever had. Parking right outside the hotel and walking distance to all amenities were convenient for our group.
Felt at home instantly, no complaints.

good location of the hotel, reasonable price
One small detail - there were no soap in bathroom - no at the sink, nor in the bath :( - soap bottlers were empty - it's means not so much visitors. Too noisy inside the room - owner should think about additional sound insulation of the windows.

the owner, a pleasant woman, made me feel welcome throughout my stay. the bed was fresh and clean, although a bit uncomfortable. the hotel itself was simple and clean, providing a contrast to the larger hotels in the area. the staff, on the whole, were friendly and competent, making sure I had everything I needed. the location was excellent, with short distances to local attractions and a peaceful ambiance. the breakfast, though simple, was tasty, and prepared quickly. Cons: Nothing everything was great! 😀.

Inexpensieve, clean, decent place. Nice stay.
Hard to find, sign hidden behind the bushes. Same person has to be in the dining room and reservation at the same time, makes service more poor.
